My skills are many and varied. French polishing, restoring lacquer, doing upholstery, re-caning chairs and in general bringing damaged furniture back to life, liming and white washing finishes.

I can build furniture to my clients design such as tables, chairs and cabinets.

Furniture Restoration

I restore worn, damaged, or aged furniture to its original beauty. This includes deep sanding, surface repairs, refinishing, staining, and protective coatings. Perfect for antiques, modern furniture, and sentimental pieces that deserve a second life.

Furniture Refinishing

Ideal for updating the look of existing furniture without replacing it. I remove old finishes and apply new stains, oils, or coatings to match your desired style while protecting the timber.

Deck Restoration

As a structural engineer I need to evaluate the structure of the deck and determine whether it has been damaged by water penetration.
I need to see if the bearers, joists and posts need replacing.
I also need to determine which kind of timber is best suited for the deck.
I can build new decks, extend decks or partially replace damaged timber.
I use stainless steel screws and seal the deck thoroughly.
I always guarantee my work.

Structural Engineer

As an experience structural engineer, I design and have built new decks, replaced loading bearers and joists, removing inner wall design and constructed timber roof trusses, design and build detective fences.
